Barbara Lewis

Barbara Lewis began her music career at the age of 17 when she joined her dad’s Dixieland jazz band in Mobile, Alabama. After graduating from the University of Miami’s acclaimed Studio Music and Jazz Vocal Program, Barbara moved to Los Angeles. While in LA, she performed extensively as a studio and live vocalist, performing on two Grammy nominated recordings, and touring all over the world as a backing vocalist for such artists as Al Martino and Ray Connif. Terrified of LA’s tendency to rock and roll during earthquakes, Barbara moved to Charlotte and began a successful career as a voice over talent for national and international radio and television commercials. Barbara currently teaches vocal music and performs regularly in the Hartford area, where she lives with her husband, two children and their dog, Gus.
